Kevin brings over twenty five years of graphic arts and technology experience to Clutch Studios. Learning his trade in his native Indiana and Texas in the early eighties, Kevin quickly mastered the “ancient” conventional arts - burning films, cutting ruby and shooting black & white and four-color halftone separations on sixteen foot cameras before ecstatically embracing emerging technologies. Earning Apple, Microsoft and Adobe certifications in multiple disciplines along the way he helped lead many companies from high-cost retouching, scanning and assembly stations to the very early and very scary new world of Macintosh and “Desktop Publishing”.

In 2001 Kevin made his way to Chicago to help lead the development of production technology and workflow tools for Seven Worldwide. He joined Clutch Studios in 2006 and is Technology Director for all practices within the studio. He also collaborates with Iain in the Solutions team to specify and implement technology needs for the diverse groupings of clients the studio serves.

Kevin brings his extreme wit and his passion for food to Clutch Studios and often shares samples of both with the studio. When not immersed in Apple/Adobe tech he can be found riding the countryside of Northwest Indiana on his Harley with his wife or son as passenger. Kevin tries to live by one maxim proffered by his favorite author Kurt Vonnegut: “Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you’ve got about a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies – ‘God damn it, you’ve got to be kind.’”
